Counting is underway in the Moldovan election, with the outcome expected to determine whether the small Eastern European country joins the EU or drifts back into Moscow’s fold.

The pro-Western government has repeatedly accused Russia of interfering in the lead-up to voting day. 

Moscow has dismissed the claims as “anti-Russian” and “unsubstantiated.”
