Today we played the mouthguard challenge to win tix to see Big and Rich at Cowboys Stampede Tent. Roger puts a dental spreader in his mouth, and you have to guess what phrases he's saying. If you get three right, you're a winner. It get's a little drooly, but tons of fun!

Alberta High School Rodeo Association has been in Alberta since 1972 and they are part of a national organization. Currently in Alberta they have 3 districts that compete all year ad then come together at the end of May beginning of June for provincial finals. Chestemere Ag society has joined with Calgary Stampede to bring an all district event to Calgary for April 20-22 where kids across Alberta will come to compete for points. They want to invite spectators to come cheer on the kids at the free event. Friday will be the Junior High grades 6-8 competitors and Saturday/Sunday is the High School grades 9-12.

CCMA Award Winning country artist Jason Blaine has 4 children of his own and wanted the opportunity to give back to a cause that is near and dear to him, while also showing his children the importance of helping those less fortunate. With the help of the Canadian country music community, Jason Blaine has coordinated a charity auction to raise money for MusiCounts.

Funds from this auction will be put toward the MusiCounts Band Aid Program, which puts musical instruments into schools across Canada. This means that more musical instruments will be put into the hands of kids who need them the most. In addition, the MusiCounts TD Community Music Program provides musical instruments and equipment to community centres, after-school programs and other community non-profit organizations who need instruments to ensure their music program’s sustained growth.
