On today’s show we’re in conversation with the editors of a book that explores county jails as a key in the broader abolitionist movement, both in building analysis and in building our fight. Jails are now the fastest-growing sector of the US carceral state. As jails grow, they transform the areas around them. If jails are everywhere, resistance is too. The book is called The Jail is Everywhere: Fighting the New Geography of Mass Incarceration, and our guests are editors Jack Norton and Judah Schept.
