    The queen (or should we say princess?) of the Netflix Christmas Cinematic Universe is back to feed us again for the third year in a row.   • Shawn Mendes: In Wonder (It's A Blunderful Documentary) - Episode 112
    We want to like him so bad . . . but we don't . . . know him?
    If you've been following the pod for a while, you might know that we have some pretty unpopular opinions of Shawn Mendes. NEVER HATE. Just . . . strong criticism. We really want to see him step out of the box he's in and take more risks. This brings us to this week's episode. The second we heard Shawn was getting his own Netflix music documentary, we added it to the monthly line up in hopes that seeing him unfiltered and behind the scenes would give us a better perspective on who this Canadian crooner really is. We're not so sure this documentary delivered. There are tons of instrumental B-roll scenes and motivational Mendes moments, but little substance. Nothing a few interviews couldn't have fixed. Stay tuned for  commentary on directionless directing, female artist expectations, and the glorification of normalcy.

     This week on the pod, we're honoring our three-year tradition of releasing a prompt-filled Thanksgiving-themed episode.   • After We Collided: Another Year Of Alcoholism And Suffering - Episode 110
    "She doesn't want LensCrafters when she has Hot Topic."
    We really thought the viewing experience for this movie would be different, but alas, pandemic safety concerns made us  reconsider reuniting for an Anna Todd adaptation-filled afternoon. No private theater viewings for us. Just two $6.99 (plus that gorgeous Tennessee sales tax) digital rentals. This week we had the absolute self-indulgent pleasure of watching the highly-anticipated sequel to the Wattpad delicacy that is "After." That's right, Tessa and Hardin are back in "After We Collided." Ohhhh the toxicity. Who needs to talk about your relationship (Can we call it that?) issues when you have hot yoga, steamy shower sex, and impromptu babysitting calls? Don't clock out . . . we've got unrealistic internship benefits, a blip in continuity,  and a petition to delete the word "conquest" in all future fanfic adaptations.

    We knew this week’s podcast would be uploaded on the first of November, but it was recorded on Halloween. In the a.m. no less. What a concept. In this week's edition of C&D midday, we had to get our final spooky ooky fix of the season with Netflix's The Babysitter. In this campy horror flick, little  Cole "Colonoscopy" Johnson, at his undisclosed age, needs a his babysitter Bee to help navigate the world of older bullies, next-door love interests, and, of course, human sacrifice? Just typical parents-are-outta-town scenarios. Thankfully, our screens were graced with several familiar faces: former Disney dancing queen Bella Thorne, ex-Viner King Bach, and an always shirtless Robbie Amell. No need to request for backup. We've got you  covered with the blue print for Dakota Johnson's green cabinets, a pre-murderous pep talk, an intergalactic betrayal.
