  • Episode-24: Day 3-What If You Let Yourself Want It?

    Send us Fan Mail

When was the last time you wanted something simply because you wanted it?

Not because it made sense. Not because it was practical. Not because everyone else would be happy with it.

Maybe there's something you've been thinking about—a trip, a hobby, more time for yourself, a change, a little more fun—and you've talked yourself out of it before you even began.

In this episode, we're talking about what happens when you stop overthinking what you want and permit yourself actually to go after it.

Because you can love your life, be grateful for what you have, and still want something more for yourself.

✨ If this episode resonated with you, I’d love to hear from you! Screenshot this episode, share it to your stories, and tag me so we can keep the conversation going 💛

And if you know you are ready to for more support, I invite you to book a Free connection call.

A Connection Call is a real conversation about what’s been feeling stuck, heavy, or frustrating in your life right now. You already have a pretty good sense of what’s going on. You do not need someone to tell you that. What you need is support to actually shift it.

We’ll talk through the patterns, habits, thoughts, or emotions that keep showing up, what’s been draining you, and what you want to feel instead. This is where we get honest about what’s happening and start looking at it in a different way.

You’ll leave with actual tools, more clarity, and a better sense of what needs to change so you can stop spinning and start moving forward.

You’ve tried it all. Now it’s time for something different. Book the call, and let’s get to work. ✨ https://scheduler.zoom.us/allison-meyer-coaching/coaching-session.

You've probably spent years being capable, responsible, dependable, and the person everyone can count on.

And those qualities helped you build the life you have today. But maybe some of the things that got you here don't need to come with you into this next chapter.

In this episode, we're talking about the woman you had to become—and what it might look like to give yourself a little more room to slow down, have fun, and figure out what you want now.

Because you don't have to stop being that strong, capable woman.

You just don't have to do everything the way you've always done it.

Maybe you've spent a lot of years being the one who remembers everything, takes care of everyone, and keeps things moving.

And maybe you're starting to wonder, “Do I really want to keep doing all of this?”

This 10-day series is about making a little more room for you—more time to enjoy your life, more fun, more calm, and less feeling like you're always rushing to the next thing.

We're going to talk about what it looks like to stop doing things just because you've always done them and start figuring out what actually feels good to you now.

  • Episode-21: Why You Overthink Everything (And What It’s Really About)

    Send us Fan Mail

Do you ever replay conversations, second-guess decisions, or ask everyone else what they think—even when you already know what you want?

You might think you have an overthinking problem, but there may be something else going on.

In this episode, I’m talking about what can be underneath all that mental spinning: self-trust. When you don't fully trust yourself, it's easy to keep looking for reassurance, certainty, or someone else's opinion.

We'll talk about what this can look like in everyday life and what starts to change when you begin trusting yourself again.

You don't need to have every answer. You need to know you can trust yourself.

    Send us Fan Mail

Who Are You When You’re Not Needed?

You've spent years being the one everyone can count on. You remember, anticipate, organize, help, fix, and take care of everyone else.

But what happens when the kids get older, life gets quieter, and you aren't needed in quite the same way?

You might expect to feel relieved… but instead find yourself wondering, “Who am I when nobody needs me?”

In this episode, I’m sharing some of my own experience with this and why I believe finding yourself in this next chapter isn't about doing more. It's about learning who you are beyond what you do for everyone else.

Because you can still be caring, responsible, and dependable without making being needed your measure of worth.

What if the peace you're craving isn't about doing more—it's about putting some of the weight down?

In this episode, we're unpacking what happens when you've spent years being the dependable one, the fixer, the one who always keeps everything together. I'll share why these patterns run so deep, how they affect your nervous system, and how the Courage Method™ can help you stop carrying what was never yours to hold so you can finally feel calm, connected, and present in the life you've worked so hard to build.

  • Episode-18: The Life You've Been Missing

    Send us Fan Mail

Have you ever had a moment where you look around and think, “I have a good life… so why don’t I feel more at peace?”

You’re showing up for everyone. You’re the one who remembers, plans, anticipates, and keeps things moving. You’ve built a life you’re proud of… but somewhere along the way, you started feeling like you were always “on.”

Maybe you’re sitting on the couch trying to relax, but your mind is already thinking about tomorrow. Maybe you’re spending time with the people you love, but part of you feels miles away — replaying conversations, making mental lists, or preparing for what’s next.

In this episode, I’m sharing a piece of my own journey with this pattern and how I realized that my struggle to slow down wasn’t because I didn’t know how to relax.

It was because a deeper belief was running underneath it:

That rest had to be earned.
That slowing down meant I was being lazy.
That my worth was connected to how much I could accomplish.

We’ll talk about why simply adding more self-care often doesn’t work, why your nervous system plays such a big role in feeling calm and present, and how we can begin to shift those old patterns so you can actually experience the life you’ve worked so hard to create.

Through my Courage Method™, we’ll explore how to reconnect with yourself, rewire those old beliefs, and rise into a version of you that feels more grounded, present, and at peace.

Because the goal isn’t to create a perfect life.

The goal is to stop missing the beautiful life you already have.

If you’ve been craving more calm, more joy, and that feeling of finally being settled within yourself, this episode is for you.

  • Episode-17: Why Rest Feels So Uncomfortable

    Send us Fan Mail

There’s a kind of exhaustion that rest doesn’t touch.

And if you’ve ever woken up tired after sleeping… this is why.

In today’s episode, I talk about the mental load of constantly monitoring yourself — how you’re coming across, what you should’ve said differently, and whether someone is upset with you.

    It’s not just burnout.

    It’s self-surveillance.

And over time, it quietly drains your energy in a way most people never talk about.

This episode will help you understand why you feel so tired… even when nothing “major” is happening.

  • Episode-15: The Hidden Cost of People-Pleasing

    Send us Fan Mail

People pleasing doesn’t usually feel like a problem in the moment.

It feels like being kind. Thoughtful. Easy to be around.

But underneath it, something more subtle is happening.

You’re adjusting yourself constantly so that other people stay comfortable.

In today’s episode, I break down the emotional cost of that pattern — and why it slowly disconnects you from your own voice without you even realizing it.

This is one of the biggest patterns I see in midlife women:
saying yes when they mean no, softening their truth, and carrying emotional responsibility that was never theirs to hold.

And over time… it creates resentment, exhaustion, and disconnection from self.

This episode will help you see where you might be leaving yourself in small, quiet ways.
