I didn't really grow up celebrating Halloween. Don't worry, I'm not sad about it. I thought it would be fun for the podcast, though, if I watched all of those classic childhood Halloween movies I'm told I missed out on. Will I be scared? Will I see what all of the fuss is about? I discuss Martin McDonagh's newest insta-classic in limited theaters now. In 1923 Ireland, Brendan Gleeson and Colin Farrell play long time friends, until they're not, and Colin can't sit with Brendan anymore. This is a slow burn, dialogue heavy dramedy sure to leave you thinking about the implications for a long time to come.

I saw the new George Clooney-Julia Roberts vehicle with approximately 5,000 other theater patrons and I have opinions. Can George's charisma overcome the curse of the overly-obvious romcom cliches? Can Julia's famous smile? Probably not. But let's go to Bali anyway.

I review Netflix's Blonde, the new adaptation of Joyce Carol Oates' novel of the same name. The story follows the early days, rise to fame, and eventual tragic end of Marilyn Monroe. How do I feel about this sordid tale? Should you watch it? More inside.

The real life Marilyn suffered unimaginable abuse and trauma in her childhood and into her adult life. I feel compelled to link below some charitable and nonprofit organizations benefiting foster and disadvantaged children. If we as a culture have decided not to let Marilyn rest, I believe we can certainly use her sad circumstances to draw attention to some worthy causes helping kids like she once was.

I tackle Warner Bros/New Line Cinema's now infamous Don't Worry Darling. From #MissFlo to #Spitgate, this film has been the unfortunate talk of the (tinsel)town. Is it worth the hype? Uhhhh......

 I review a movie in which Jon Hamm tries to act like he's as condescending as Chevy Chase; Paramount Pictures' and Miramax's 2022 Confess, Fletch. Do I like it? Eh...the suspense is killing me!
