Getting good at living life requires taking risks in God’s kingdom work. Jesus wants us to live by faith and be fully engaged in His mission. When you step out of your comfort zone to be a blessing to others, it is always worth the risk and always results in a more fulfilling life.

,God has wonderfully made our minds with the ability to concentrate and comprehend. The kind of thoughts we have determine the kind of emotions we feel. God wants us to think about life from a Biblical perspective and stay focused on Him every moment of every day.

Our consumer culture tells us that we need more stuff to be happy. The education system teaches that happiness is a result of knowing more information. Social circles convey that fashion, wealth, and physical health are the best ways to be happy in life. All this and people are still searching for more. The paradox of contemporary happiness is that the more we try to get it, the less of it we have.

One of the most significant myths in our culture today is that good people go to Heaven when they die. As good intentioned as this may seem, it is far from the truth of the Bible and has spiritually devastating consequences. The gift of eternal life comes from a living relationship with Jesus.

Most people believe that we have to do our part if we expect God to do His. It's the thought that we must merit God's blessing and willingness to forgive. While this makes perfect sense in our reward-based culture, it is not good theology. God's actions and love toward people is not dependent on our ability to respond.

Jesus promises forgiveness, eternity, and abundant life, but not winning lottery tickets, job promotions, and good health. God's plan for life so often gets reduced to trinkets that don't amount to anything in the currency of Kingdom living.
