Today, we were at the end of Acts Chapter 4 and the beginning of Chapter 5. First, we see a wonderful picture of the community and fellowship of the Early Church. But, as is often the case with man, we quickly see sinful behavior emerge.

As Peter and John are released, they catch the other believers up on what has happened. Immediately, rather than complain about the trial, they look to the Lord and ask for boldness. They know he has ordained what took place, and trust it is for their good and His glory.

This morning, we find ourselves in Acts 4. There we see Peter and John confronted because they taught Christ's resurrection. Instead of letting the intimidation get to them, filled with the Holy Spirit, they preach the full gospel- Christ Jesus died and was resurrected, defeating death.

This morning, we continued in the Book of Acts with Peter's sermon at Solomon's Portico. Rather than take credit for the healing of the lame man, Peter points them to the person responsible- Christ Jesus, the author of life.
