-For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God....- -1 Peter 3-18

He's often referred to as -Doubting Thomas.- But when he told his fellow apostles that unless certain conditions that he laid down were met, he REFUSED to believe that Christ was risen from the dead. A better name at that juncture would be -disbelieving Thomas-. -He pictures many a child of God who go beyond doubting some truth or promise is God's Word where...for all intents and purposes...they deny it, unless they have clear evidences -which -they- have established- that it's true. This is when a Christian starts walking by sight instead of by faith.

When instructing believers on how to respond to a hostile world, Peter tells them not only to not be afraid of them -v. 14-, but to always be prepared to defend what they believe...and do it with -meekness and fear.- -v. 15-

Romans 7-23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
