It's the most...wonderful tiiiime...of the yearrrr!!!!! HALLOWEEN is upon us! In this episode, Mike and Nick talk about the most SPOOKY songs to make the ULTIMATE Halloween playlist. Yes, there will be "Monster Mash", but lots of other Rock and Metal songs to delight as you chomp down on your blood pellets and scare the bejeezus out of your neighbors and their kids...and you mom. And your friends' mom. And your Mom's friends. All cousins, too. Check it out!!! NOW!!!

Ahhh...the 80's. Big hair, BAD hair, hair bands, questionable fashion sense, synths...but ALSO...All TYPES of metal, the beginnings of garage rock, the rise of new wave/early goth, and a lot more! Mike and Nick tackle this weird but fun decade of music, going chronologically from 1980 - 1989, highlighting a couple of albums from each year, and a song or two from each to build the ULTIMATE 80's playlist of GOOD music...not those earworms like "Mickey" or anything like that. DAMMIT...now it's in my head!!! Listen in for all the merriment!

This episode, Mike and Nick tackle another "Round up" to create playlists around (and also to fight over) - this time the topic is POWER POP BANDS... You know - Cheap Trick, Jellyfish, The Beatles, etc.

To help along, we'll have members of power pop quartet FUZZBUBBLE to help make up our list and give us even more reasons to listen to different things! We'll also be talking about a bit about their association with Puff Daddy, their re-union, and other projects that have recently resulted in some awesome music!

We also touch on the Los Angeles version of the Taylor Hawkins Memorial Concert, Gene Simmons, new vinyl releases for this week, the death of Coolio, and of course "DIS-Covered' and 'THIS SONG SUCKS'!

Sometimes when looking for used vinyl, there can be a dizzying amount of things to deal with...specifically, how a record is graded, how a cover is graded, if it has all the inserts/posters/extras, pricing that is subjective, and more. In this episode, Mike and Nick help to explain a lot of these points and give their advice as to what to look for when buying vinyl records to add to your collection. We'll also discuss how Gene Simmons has no friends, upcoming releases, and our most popular segments - 'DIS-Covered' and 'This Song SUCKS'.

The time-keepers, the groove-setters, the limited IQ's (KIDDING) - Drummers and percussionists play a most important part of any song. Whether it is something as simple as hand percussion, or if you are of the Bozzio/Peart/Portnoy school of ALL THE DRUMS, every successful band has had a drummer that left an impression. On this episode, Mike and Nick discuss some of THE BEST (and WORST) drummers out there that left and continue to leave an impression on all of us. Who are YOUR favorite drummers? Let us know!!! We'll also have our standard segments and much arguing, plus we will also be talking about the Taylor Hawkins memorial concert that happened on September 3, 2022 in London...

This episode, Mike and Nick will "Escape" with a Pina Colada while doing the "Lido Shuffle" down to "Baker Street" and "Sailing" to "Africa"...WHY? Because THE Titans of Soft Rock, YÄCHTLEY CRËW, join us to talk all things Yacht Rock and MORE! Even our "DIS-Covered" and "This Song Sucks" segments will be Yacht Rock-themed! You do NOT want to miss this episode! Subscribe to our YouTube channel and get notified when we go LIVE! Much fun will be had! In the meantime, check out the band at www.yachtleycrew.com

Do you find yourself getting lost in longer songs that tell a story? Sometimes, those long songs feel way shorter than they are. Sometimes, they become classics and mandatory listening! Mike and Nick discuss EPICS - songs that are at LEAST 6 minutes in running time! This should be the LONGEST playlist with the fewest songs...get a sandwich before you start it! What songs did we pick? What songs would YOU suggest? Tune in and find out!

We will also have our standard segments - 'DIS-COVERED' and 'THIS SONG SUCKS' - and we'll talk about upcoming releases...and we ALSO have a VERY COOL announcement!!!!

In our last episode, titled "In The Beginning", Mike and Nick discussed the beast opening songs of albums. In THIS episode, they discuss the best songs to CLOSE OUT albums...going out with a bang! What do YOU feel are some of the best songs to close out an album? We discuss about 20 of them for you!!!!

We'll also talk about what new releases are coming out this Friday, and of course our regular segments 'Dis-Covered' and 'This Song Sucks'!

Cover to Covered is back and better than...well...YOU!

Part of the album making process is deciding what track should be FIRST on the album for maximum impact. This week, Mike and Nick discuss the BEST songs to kick off albums! We'll also be talking about random things like TRAVEL ISSUES, what's going to be released this Friday, and our most popular featured segments - "Dis-Covered" and "This Song Sucks! - will be in effect!!!
