    This period hasn’t been easy for many of us. 

    2020 had been looking good, and a pipeline of opportunities were beginning to bear fruit. 

    I was also excited to launch my “EventStars” Podcast which I created to help people working in the Events Industry. 

    But as it has for many, Covid changed EVERYTHING. Business came to a standstill. It has become a time for reflection and in some cases a time for “Pivot”. 

    For one, the podcast became a series about “Opportunity In Isolation”. And this is something that I’ve really enjoyed. 

    It has given me the chance to interview and connect with some amazing people who are creating opportunities not just for themselves but others. 

    In Episode 4, I interview Darshita Gillies, the founder and CEO of Maanch. 

    Maanch is an award winning global impact platform, transforming the way millions of people engage with philanthropy and impact investing worldwide. 

    Darshita is also listed among the 100 Most Influential in UK - India Relationships.

  • Episode 3 Paul Bassi on Success in Life and Business
    In this day and age, we have more access to “successful” people and their minds than ever before.
     
    We can follow their social media accounts, watch their videos, read their books, and it goes on. But you often find is that many of them make the notion of “success” sound so out of reach and complex.
     
    Maybe there are ulterior motives for this…creating complexity for profit perhaps?

    I was lucky enough to spend an hour interviewing Paul for my podcast and I attempted to ask questions that listeners would find most useful.

    • Episode 2 Homeschooling with Rodrigo and Andrea Fernandez

      Rodrigo and Andrea Fernandez live in Ontario Canada

      I've been working with Rodrigo for around 2 -3 months on a project, and he mentioned to me then that he and Andrea homeschools their kids.
      This is not something that a lot of people including me would think about but given that we aren't currently living in normal times and that many of us around the world have now been put into a situation where they have no choice but to homeschool our kids whilst  working or running businesses. I thought it would be very useful and insightful to learn more about homeschooling and get some advice from people who actually took the proactive decision to do it.
      Rodrigo is a growth marketing professional and Andrea is a NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit ) nurseThey have three children ages 6, 4, and 2 and a fourth one on the way Alot of kids. Unhappy with the school system and in an effort to provide a more customized education to their children, about 1 year ago Rodrigo and Andrea decided to home school their kids. This was a decision that took lots of time and research.

      Offering advice for all of the parents out there including me who now desperately need help in this area.
      But even if you don't have children i think listening to their answers and taking time to understand their view of the world and modern education system is very insightful and interesting so I would urge you to listen.
