On Monday, the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare reported 322 new cases of coronavirus and 7 new deaths due to COVID-19 related causes. That brings the statewide total to 171,462 known infections and 1,867 deaths.

Race and ethnicity data were made available today on the state’s COVID-19 vaccine website. Health and Welfare Director Dave Jeppesen said the department is committed to transparency, but race and ethnicity information are not mandatory for patients to report.
