On Monday, the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare added 597 new cases and 3 new deaths to its statewide total. That’s in addition to the 978 new cases and 1 death added over the weekend, bringing the statewide total to 48,663 known cases and 510 deaths.

Madison County is reporting the highest daily case rate right now, and Magic Valley and Eastern Idaho are also experiencing spikes.

According to the Idaho Statesman, the state is currently experiencing its highest ever seven day moving average, at 621 confirmed and probable cases daily.
