Covington First Assembly

In our American culture there is a movement taking place that has a tendency to water down the Gospel in an attempt to not offend anyone. People are quickly offended by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In this message Pastor Bob addresses the fact that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is intended to offend our sinful nature.

"No" is never a word that we like to hear and yet sometimes we have to hear it for our own good. We know that all the promises of God are yes and amen in Christ Jesus but too often we want what we want NOW. In this message Pastor Bob looks at some examples in scripture where God said "No" for the purpose of greater blessing later.

In our westernized society of organized religion there are a lot of things in church that get a lot of attention. Some are amazed by worship while others are amazed by large churches and passionate ministries. Still others are amazed by great communicators and writers. What amazes you? Has your affection been improperly placed on the church rather than the builder of the church?

God created woman to carry the unique, femenine nature of God. Eve was not an after thought creation but rather a perfectly and intentionally designed helper. Join us as Pastor Bob honors the ladies and mothers that have served God so faithfully over the years.
