From our text we find that are things that "we know." We know that we are in a state of grace, We know that because we have an abiding spirit of obedience. We know that because we love the brethren. We know that because we have a Spirit of holiness....

Today we are getting to the meat of our studies. First and most important is establishing the context in which we find v.16. Without a proper context we will miss the true teaching of this verse. It does not teach the universal salvation or the universal atonement for sin by the shedding of the blood of Christ.

What is the Fruit of the Vine as used in the Scripture? Is it wine or juice. The Bible does give us answers to this critical question that has divided believers and churches over these last two centuries. Let us here the conclusion of the Scripture, not tradition or opinion, but Scripture.

This twenty-eight verse of our text is rich with the overruling providence of God for us in this world. How else could all things work for good the them that love God if God does not have His hand in the all things of this world?

We are looking at those things that Holiness does not fellowship with and those things that should not "once be named among the saints."
