A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away.

Our final sermon on Blessed are the Merciful.

This morning we are looking at the duty of mercy to our neighbor and to our enemies. These Beatitudes are not just simple and pithy sayings.

A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing.

Today we explore the duty of mercy. As Believers we have a duty to extend mercy. I will explore three area where this mercy is to be extended and the first is to our brothers and sisters in Christ.

In the Lord's church he established during his personal ministry and its continuance demonstrated that it was made-up of people who were born-again, regenerated. This practice it to continue so we, as a church, look to see if there is the evidences of regeneration before we consider adding anyone to our membership.
