Join me as I catch up with my long time cowgirl friend Camile Cox Burlison. Camile & I came up through the ranks of junior, high school and college rodeo together and we unpack alot on this episode. (It's easy to do when you've known each other for over 20 plus years.) We discuss everything from growing up rodeoing, how it shaped us and why we choose to raise our kids in the western life style to what we've learned from horses and careers. She has a unique story surrounding her journey to motherhood which includes infertility and adoption. Camile's heart for God, her family, the western lifestyle as well as what she calls "her greatest assignment" is refreshing and encouraging. Brooke Wallace, a twenty-five year old from Council Grove, Kansas was crowned the 55th Miss Rodeo USA on Sunday, January 19th at the International Finals Rodeo in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Upon accepting the prestigious honor, she signed her name in the history books as the first woman to earn the national title from the Sunflower State. Brooke is the official ambassador for the International Professional Rodeo Association and will travel throughout the United States and Canada promoting professional rodeo as Miss Rodeo USA 2020.
