The James Bond Character Study has returned in Part 7 with our review of Quantum of Solace. As always, the first part of the show is spoiler free as we introduce the film, go behind the scenes to how Daniel Craig got into character and chat about the historical significance of his performance and the film itself upon the industry.

You then get a spoiler warning before we enjoy all of our favorite pun-titled segments to break down the movie. The Spy Who’s Not Me relishes the fantasy elements, and in this case, reality checks us into submission. Live And Let Dad (Joke) recites several of the film’s best lines, which has been an under-rated strength of Craig’s 007. Then we actually don’t have as many moral objections to this story in our Dr. Oh Please God No and Always Say Never Again segments, but there are a few stunning developments. But you don’t want to miss our ridiculous analysis of the Bond villains & how we’d fix Quantum in There’s a Reason Tomorrow Never Dies and Goldfingers. Finally, we celebrate the cars & tech of this movie with Q Only Lives Once, and then in perhaps our favorite section, we tally up all the costs of the damage MI6 & Bond should be liable for in License To Bill.

This has certainly been one of our most enjoyable series to record, and hopefully, it shows. Maybe it’s the monthly release schedule, maybe it’s the content where we can be equal parts celebratory and equal parts critical. But The James Bond Character Study has indeed been a blast.
