In this episode, I have invited a great friend of mine, Danny Ying. Danny is a fourth year student at UCLA majoring in Economics and minoring in Statistics. As a fraternity brother, he has a lot to share about Greek life and its impact on him as an individual. Today, we'll get into the gist about how to get involved in Greek life, what the rushing process is like, what a typical day in a fraternity house is like... you name it! Later, we break down the walls even further and talk about the life-long lessons learned from this experience. Danny will share parts of his journey in finding purpose and self identity. I can assure you, there is something everyone can learn from his positive and ripe perspective on life!
Logan Quessenberry is a third year undergraduate at USC majoring in Philosophy, Politics and Law. As a top-notch student, he was accepted into a program where he got to leave high school a year early and go straight into college without a high school diploma. Join us for a great conversation about his transition into college, the benefits of attending a private university, the pros and cons of different housing options available at college, and how to maintain mental and physical health while carrying through the college grind!
Erick Amezcua is a UCLA undergraduate majoring in Human Biology and Society. From my first time meeting him in our chemistry lecture, I recognized his curiosity as a student. He stands out as somebody who seeks to learn beyond the syllabus of the course and asks the deeper questions to perpetuate his knowledge about the world around him. In a school system where we are tied to grades as a measure of our academic intelligence, we break these bounds today in our discussion of what intelligence truly means, what it's like being a student in university, and how to maximize our experience once we are there. Listen in for some great insight about how to take on college with the success mindset.
