Another crazy Comic-Con year in the books! Once again, this was a strange one with the absence of some of the big studios but the presence of big offsite events. Like every year, I gathered a team of con veterans and one first timer to share about their experiences. Thank you Katrina, Boots, Becky and Carlos for your fun and diverse stories. My annual Hall H podcast episode returns- however, it was such a strange year. With the absence of the big studios like Warner Bros, Marvel and more, the pressure to camp overnight was greatly reduced. Friday (Tron: Ares) and Sunday (George Lucas) programming might have been more popular than Saturday (Star Trek, Hail Mary), which is unheard of! Regardless, Trevor and I trekked out to a small but dedicated grassy knoll line to interview campers and asked them why they camp and what they are excited for.

We’re back from a CRAZY week at San Diego Comic-Con and I am finally catching up on all my updates and posts. One of the highlights from every year is hosting panels. My annual favorite returns focusing on small business and entrepreneurship called: How Small Businesses Survive and Thrive. Given the harsh year so far with the economy, inflation and tariffs, I gather some amazing business owners as they share about how their challenging experiences. Joining me this year are Mandie Roman of brick/mortar store Geeky Glamorous, Allison Cimino of RockLove and Jeff Lawber of Marmels. It’s finally here! After years of anticipation, the new James Gunn version of Superman has landed here on Earth! In our last episode, Johnny, Trevor and I discussed our history with Superman and what we hoped for in this new incarnation. After seeing Superman a few days early, the super friends reunite to review the film. We talk about the good, bad, funny and weird and we conclude with our overall hopes on the DC Universe. It’s been almost 12 years since we experienced a solo Superman adventure in the form of Man of Steel (2013). Shockingly, the original Superman the Movie came out in 1978, 47 years ago! And we are now on the eve of a whole new version with James Gunn’s Superman. In preparation, my esteemed nerdy colleagues (Trevor and Johnny) discuss our past relationship with Superman, favorite moments over the past decades, our thoughts on the past DCEU and what we hope to experience with this new Superman. After waiting 18 months since James Gunn’s new Superman movie announcement, the official teaser trailer is here! Being hardcore Superman fans for life, Trevor Kaihoi and I wanted to record our first time live reaction to this momentous event! Wow! What a year! I know I seem to say that every year but one thing is always certain about Comic-Con. While it may not always go the way you want, the surprises never disappoints! Not since 2019 has Comic-Con felt like this and wowza, is there a lot to talk about.
