When you say Roddy Piper, most think of the accomplished wrestler from territories such as Portland, Charlotte & Los Angles. Some also think of from Wrestlemania in 1985 on, he was one of few that can infuriate a crowd like o “heel” before him. Being a true antagonist, Piper was known for using his quick wit, explosive ring style and fearless baiting of audiences to help push pro wrestling to unprecedented success. He was also known as an actor with over 50 screen credits, including the lead in John Carpenter’s #1 cult classic, They Live. Roddy was one who knew how to keep fans hungry for more. However, in early 2015 he wanted to write this book for his family, so Roderick Toombs started the leg work in researching his own autobiography with a trip through Western Canada. Following his death due to a heart attack that July, two of his children took on the epic job of telling Roddy’s story, but also during the telling of this story, separating fact from fiction in the extraordinary life of their father.
