#4. In this episode of CREATE. PHOTOGRAPHY, host Daniel Sigg will discuss travel photography with professional travel photographer Gary Arndt.

Gary Arndt is an American travel photographer and blogger. Back in 2007, Gary sold his house and started traveling the world. He documented his journey with his camera and via his blog called Everything Everywhere. Since then, he has traveled across every continent, to around 140 different countries, and continues to document the nature and culture around him.  Gary won numerous prestigious awards and his work has been featured in publications such as TIME, the Atlantic, and the Huffington Post. His blog Everything Everywhere has over 100,000 readers monthly. He recently started his own podcast called Everything Everywhere.

We discussed a broad range of topics, mostly focusing on the creative side of travel photography. The topics we touched on are listed below.

  • How Limitation Can Increase Creativity (with Hashem McAdam)

#3. In this episode of CREATE. PHOTOGRAPHY, host Daniel Sigg will discuss how limitation can spur creativity with Australian photographer and filmmaker Hashem McAdam.

Hashem discusses how too many options can hurt creativity and how limitation can paradoxically increase it. Since both of us are film photographers (which also is limiting in its own right), we briefly touched on that (and our favorite film stocks), and then wrapped up by discussing some of Hashem's favorite photographers. This also brought us to Saul Leiter who we both admire (and who will be featured in a future episode.).

The show notes contains a link to Hashem's website and social media including his YouTube channel. There will also be a link to his Vlog with several images from his Nepal trip using limited gear, a list of Hashem's (and my) favorite B&W and color film stocks, and links to some of Hashem's favorite photographers.
