And in fact, if we really begin to break down goals, how to set new habits, most of us would run for the hills. Results show that when we are wanting change, it's more complicated than making SMART goals, writing an action plan, and sticking to it.

It seems in order for something to change, we need to be pushed to the edge.

Unfortunately, it takes a crisis. But why wait for a crisis? We live in enough stress every day. We sit here and have these goals and dreams floating around in our mind space. But until we are willing to act upon them, they keep afloat.

We need to bring them down to earth's space so you can impact where God created you and be used on purpose.

What do you need to achieve your goals?

1. Set the YOU boundaries. What makes you your best selfie every day? Sleep, exercise, writing, devotions, etc.
2. Set the FAMILY boundaries. What is happening in this season?
3. Set the WORK boundaries.
4. BONUS: If it doesn't fit in the SEASON or your above boundaries, JUST SAY NO!!!!! (This goes for family and close friends too.)

This is the day where you begin with a clean slate. So how to get what you want?

"Take your everyday, ordinary life - your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life - and place it before God as an offering." ~ Romans 12:1 [MSG]

Your good-intended resolutions won't carry you far when life gets busy once again. The return of old habits will be comforting and require little sacrifice. The New Year soon will fade to the old known year.

Yet you want something anew, a fresh start.

So here's what I want you to do ... Fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what He wants from you, and quickly respond to it. (Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity,) God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you. ~ Romans 12:1-2 [MSG]

Today, let's start with one step, a new year's offering --- a simple prayer from your heart to God.

I'll begin, and you can finish.

The K.I.S.S. ~ A New Year's Offering!

Heavenly Father, I praise You today for what is and what is to come. You are the author of my life; my strength and my fortress. My heart's desire is to know You more deeply, to have You rooted in my everyday, extraordinary life.

Lord, I ask that You give me eyes to see, ears to hear, a mind to understand, and a heart to embrace Your presence.

Create a hunger in me that will penetrate my soul and satisfy my every longing.

Create in me a clean heart. Fill me with Your truth.

Move me. Change me. Stretch me. Transform me. Empower me to live the life of Your calling.

Create in me an undeniable joy and gratitude for the best is yet to come.

As I forge ahead, may each step I take be the one step orchestrated by Your majestic hand which will continue to lead me to miles of greatness.

Thank you for loving me right where I'm at. In this, I honor You. Here's to a year of hope, love, peace, and joy. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

No matter how hard you try, there are days where you question - will they ever get it?

No more broken records, skipping CDs... Will they ever get it?

Am I speaking another language? Do they needs their ears tested, and maybe even their eyes?

It astounds me that no matte how I say it, whether I whisper it, or yell it from the rooftops, what needs to be done doesn't get done.

Talk about an upset mama. But the it doesn't stop there.

I turn the tables and ask myself --- "What do I need to be doing that I'm not doing?"

Regardless of whether or not we want to admit it, our influence is mirrored back to us.
