  • Obstinate Opposition
The Pharisees' demand for a sign in Mark 8 stems from willful rebellion rather than genuine inquiry. God has provided sufficient revelation through creation, scripture, and the resurrection of Christ to make belief obligatory. Unbelief is defined not as innocent doubt but as active resistance to clear truth, carrying moral guilt before God. There is a stark contrast between this obstinate rejection and the comfort available to those who bring honest questions to Jesus in humility. Believers are called to repentance, gratitude for grace. All listeners are called to believe the gospel.

  • Hebrews 9:15-22 - "Inaugurated With Blood"
Christian, you have inherited your name from Jesus Christ. In fact, you have inherited all things from Him; the King over kings, the Lord over lords. He will have us beginning to act like princes and princesses in His royal kingdom. We are to be children of light. We will worship Him who secured these blessings, whose death enacted the last will and testament of the Father, and who established His covenant with that very same death. We owe Him all loyalty and all gratitude – even our very lives. We can agree with Isaac Watts – "love so amazing, so divine, demands my soul, my life, my all.

  • The Right of the Potter
Drawing from Romans 9:21 and Old Testament imagery, this sermon emphasizes God's absolute divine sovereignty and rights as the master craftsman over creation. It argues that all humanity originates from the same fallen, sin-polluted lump of Adamic clay, rendering no person inherently worthy or deserving of salvation. Consequently, God's choice to purify certain vessels for honorable use and leave others for dishonorable use is an act of pure, unmerited mercy and sovereign grace aimed at magnifying His glory.

  • The Psalmist's Contemplation on the Revelation of God, Part 1
Psalm 19:1–6 presents the created order as a continuous, universal declaration of God's glory β€” what theologians call general revelation. This exposition of the psalm's first movement examines how the heavens, the firmament, and the daily cycle of the sun testify to the Creator's existence and majesty, and what that testimony means for human accountability before God. Main points: - the fact of general revelation β€” the heavens declare God's glory - the scope of general revelation β€” its voice goes to the ends of the earth - the character of general revelation β€” the sun as a picture of the reach and power of God's self-disclosure Scripture references: - Psalm 19:1-6 - Romans 1:18-20 Free Grace Baptist Church β€” https://www.freegrace.ca Full transcript & sermon notes: https://sermons.freegrace.ca/sermons/sermon-psalm-19-the-psalmists-contemplation-on-the-revelation Description generated by Tyrannus.ai: https://www.tyrannus.ai

  • God is Worthy of Praise
Sometimes we must be reminded that God is worthy of praise. In this psalm we are reminded of God's goodness and greatness that is displayed across the world. His goodness starts with atonement for sin to the clothing of all creation. His greatness is seen in establishing creation and calming the seas and nations.

  • The Posture Of Prayer – Part 12
Paul, progressing in his exhortation of the Saints at Ephesus. He picks up the same line of thought of prayer, reminding us of his dependance on God. He began with an invocation (14a), describing his heart's disposition before God. That of utter, humility, worshipful-reliance on Supreme majesty of God. This demands for a realized essence for our creation. Paul unveils his high view of God (v.14b– 15). Implied herein are three (3) values: (a) that prayer is primarily, family-oriented activity; b) that the Father is the identifier and definer of the family. He is the source, the creator and definer of who belongs into His household. Finally, c) that we must maintain the confident communion with God that's rooted and flows from our identity. In response to this, the must be: i) an individualized submission so God the Father. ii) foster corporate–family unity and iii) participate in continuance remembrance of our Christ – the intercessor. Until He comes.
