About our speaker: 

Thom Kubli is a Swiss-German composer and artist. In his works, he pursues an augmented concept of sonic thinking, embracing AI, digital network strategies, and material and machine science. He is well known for exploring acoustic environments and translating them into visual art, immersive installations, and performance experiences. His composition works comprise soundtracks for film, theater, and radio plays.

 Kubli showed his work at New Museum of Contemporary Art (NYC), Ars Electronica (Linz), the House of Electronic Arts (Basel), FILE-Festival (São Paulo), and in various other galleries and museum sites; The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Wired, Rhizome, and Contemporary Performance featured his projects. He frequently has lectured at MIT Media Lab and Harvard Department of Art, Film, and Visual Studies. His work comprise collaborations with institutions like the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, the MIT Media Lab, and the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
