Aaron Vazquez is a Photographer and Director based in New York City. Originally from Austin, TX, Aaron first picked up a camera in high school after persuading his teacher to accept a video essay as opposed to a written essay for a particular assignment. From there, he went to the University of Texas at Austin before moving to New York City, where he hustled his way to shooting rap music videos, live fashion photography, and eventually landing large commercial projects with the likes of Veuve Clicquot, Thom Browne, Converse, Paco Rabanne, Armani, and many more.

Today, we chat about Aaron’s creative beginnings, how he taught himself everything he knows about photography and videography, and what advice he would give to young artists looking to make their own way as a creative freelancer today.
