Josh Webb, a rising musician with dreams of stardom, had traveled the breadth of the indie music scene alongside his four bandmates. Their journey was marked by intimate gigs and the taste of success, as their songs resonated on television, creating a tantalizing hint of what could be. The group, fueled by the belief that they were on the precipice of becoming the next U2, found themselves in Phoenix, Arizona, with the air ripe with prospect.

It was there, in the humble confines of a shared Best Western room, that reality crashed into their dream. Drew, a key member of their ensemble as both a singer and a rhythm guitarist, succumbed to illness, his body succumbing to fatigue and cold medicine as he fell into a deep sleep on the stark hotel floor. Despite their shoestring budget and the tight quarters they called home for the night, Josh Webb and his bandmates held onto the hope that each performance might be the one to catapult them into the spotlight they so eagerly sought.

Barrie Adelberg's story begins in the colorful folds of fabric and the creative play spaces of childhood, laid out by a mother who crafted clothes and daydreams with equal skill. This enchanted upbringing paved the way for Barrie's future, intertwining the threads of imagination with a scholarly pursuit to weave something entirely new.

Following in the intellectual footsteps of a father fascinated with how children conceptualize magic and heroism, Barrie chose a graduate path sparkling with the same curiosity about young minds. However, Barrie's quest took a different turn, exploring how burgeoning technologies intertwine with learning, development, and the limitless expanse of human creativity.

In this intricate dance of art, technology, and education, Barrie investigates how children not only learn beside the ever-evolving digital landscape but also how they harness it to share their narratives in innovative ways, thanks to the pervasive reach of the Internet. Barrie Adelberg stands as an academic architect, constructing bridges between youthful imagination and the transformative power of new media.

Meet Bryan Villagonzalo, a guy who's totally obsessed with sports, and not just in a chill, watch-the-game-with-friends way. He’s all about the NBA life and has managed to turn that passion into his gig. For Bryan, the coolest thing is that his role models and industry legends are just a desk away or maybe even on the other side of his next job application.

He's living the dream, working and learning in the thick of the action. Sure, sometimes he feels that pang of "Do I even deserve to be here?" But then he shakes it off and remembers he's right where he's meant to be. He’s soaking up knowledge every day on the job, one buzzer-beater at a time. Bryan's story is the classic case of following your passion and finding that once you’re in, there’s always more to learn.

How will you make 2024 your best year ever?

Ashten "Whoopi", a creative force from a young age, grew up surrounded by the arts, thanks to a mother who was a school teacher with a strong inclination toward the performing and visual arts. Beyond this, Whoopi was influenced by a family of painters and digital artists, immersing him in a world that fostered his imagination and innovation. During his childhood, creativity was not just a pastime but also an escape from the struggles of academic life.

Whoopi found his joy and success in the realms where school fell short. Taking pictures and creating films became a natural outlet for his inherent curiosity—a stark contrast to the challenges he faced in formal education. At the young age of five, he was introduced to the Internet, an event that exponentially expanded his horizons. Computers and digital technology became both a playground and a laboratory for Whoopi, where he could indulge in video games, experiment with modding servers, or whimsically hack Photoshop to entertain his friends and himself.

As he tinkered and explored, Whoopi developed a diverse skill set that was nurtured by his artistic upbringing and the digital world that he embraced. This environment allowed him to grow into a multifaceted creative individual well-versed in navigating both the tangible and virtual realms with equal finesse.
