  • Episode 42 Featuring Nicole Burgess

I had a great conversation with Nicole, about walking our talk and doing what we tell others to do. How important that is for keeping yourself on track. Also knowing your why of what you do… or want to do.

We also talked about being superwomen and looking at unpacking how we can find more balance in our lives. We do not need to do it all. Changing our mindset to make changes in our lives.

Nicole Burgess is a licensed psychotherapist and leadership coach to introverted, sensitive, purpose-driven professional women. She is also the host of Soulfilled Sisterhood podcast and founder of the Self-Care Summit: Improve Your Bottom Line and Your Personal Life.

Over the last fifteen years, she has coached, guided and collaborated with over a 1,000 women. She helps them break free from perfectionism, demote their inner critic, embrace their fears through action, and grow professionally without sacrificing their personal life. As a result, they are more productive at work, have more meaningful relationships, and no longer sacrifice their well-being for others.

  • Episode 38 featuring Christine Karpiak

Christine is a mixed media artist and teacher who seeks wholeness through creative discoveries and expression. Whether Christine performs, gardens, paints, photographs or makes a general mess in her studio, the need to breathe creativity into her life is how she survives life’s hardships and elations.

After having finished her Masters, Christine was faced with long term grief from suddenly having lost her sister, after tragically losing her mother only a few years prior, and turned to her art for therapy. She explored a world not only of art and its opportunity to practice new techniques, but she discovered how healing the process of creating art was to the soul. Christine became an expressionist, an explorer, and a storyteller, and felt compelled to inspire and help others who may need guidance expressing their own thoughts and emotions.

Christine is a teacher on Wanderlust 2020 and has been published in Brush and Somerset Studio magazines.

  • Episode 37 featuring Anna Bartlett

Hi, I'm Anna Bartlett and I am Shiny Happy Art. That's exactly what I do!

I love being an artist and I REALLY LOVE helping others discover that they can be too.

For the past 8 years, I have been welcoming people to my studio to Paint Along with me. I now offer to sketch and painting Art Events to groups and businesses and pop up in beautiful places (like Norfolk Island!) to run Art Holidays and Workshops.

In January 2019 I launched the Paint Along of the Month Club and each month more people from across the world join me and share the joy of drawing and painting.

    Other info
My mother has always been an artist, but my father said "I'd never earn a living from art", so I studied Business and Accounting at University.

I was also in the Army Reserve for 8 years and spent a year as the full-time Adjutant of the Queensland University Regiment.

I have four children, two grown boys, and two girls still at home - and art has always been such a big part of their life, they're now keen helpers at my workshops.

My book, "Painting Party", was published by North Light Books in 2016 and is available on Amazon and many other bookselling platforms.

I love to paint murals in hospitals! In recent years I have painted many murals in Children's wards and the local Breastscreen unit, and I often receive 'thank you's' from people who have been in those rooms and have been happily distracted by the images on the walls.

  • Episode 36 featuring Larissa Russell

I have been a creative person my whole life, I have tried many creative endeavors, from interior painting specialties back in the 90’s, through to healing through creativity today, and everything in between in my 30+ years of teaching and creating.

I am an artist and my favourite medium is acrylics, and my signature technique is adding metal foils. I love the flow of colour against the edges of the metals.

I am also an educator, a creativity coach, an author, and a healer.

I truly believe that everyone is creative in different ways. I love working with people to heal themselves through creativity. Using different mediums, painting, writing, beads, meditation and so much more

  • Episode 35 featuring Sywia Gryczuk

My name is Sylwia Gryczuk, I am a mum of two beautiful girls, an artist, illustrator and youth justice worker. After completing my master’s degree in Pedagogy I decided to leave my beautiful country Poland and move to evergreen Ireland. My creative journey started here on this island full of fairy stories and history. Here I discover my love for children’s art and illustrations. I believe that every one of us has an inner child hidden within, and sometimes we just need to let it go and let our inner child take over. I love creating with different mediums such as watercolors, acrylics, inks, vintage papers, stamps, and stencils. I enjoy making multilayered backgrounds, but my biggest love of all is painting magical things such as fairies, unicorns, and rainbows. I am very inspired by fairytales and children’s drawings. I am amazed by kids’ creations and their ways of painting freely without overthinking. As it is all about letting it go, having fun and enjoying the process!
