Creative Sparks

James Tonkin is a third year (2008) student. Semester one of his final year within the Bachelor of Music Technology program has brought together two projects that have challenged his personal and professional preconceptions of album/EP production and sound design.

Matt Heindorff is a first year (2008) student. A meditative instrumental based on the four rivers that originally flowed from the Garden of Eden before the flood.

Surya is a second year (2008) student. Crossroads is the first track recorded for an upcoming EP for local band "The Creamy Justice". The band draws influence from artists such as John Mayer, Marvin Gaye and Eric Clapton.

Andrew Chen is a first year (2008) student. This track lives for the waves of beautifully destructive random backwards guitars about two thirds in. Lots of light and shade used.

Tim Roberts is a second year (2008) student. This piece was inspired by text from The Magician's Nephew by C.S. Lewis in which the creation of Narnia is described. It was originally written in 2006 for the Toowoomba State High School Orchestra.
