Canada seems to have a sterling reputation among nations, but the view from the Palace of Versailles and Silicon Valley tends to always be a plastic view of an artificial life from an Ivory Tower. The greatness of a nation is not judged by how the top 1% live, every corrupt nation on Earth has a rich elite, that does not show human greatness, but only a capacity for corruption. Greatness is determined by how the least are treated, a lesson that reverberates tens of thousands of years in fairy tales such as the disguised beggar meeting the arrogant prince, as a test of deep character - whether the soul of the prince can be redeemed or is beyond redemption...      

The largest strike in human history, that mainstream news is silent and dismissive regarding, bullies don't likey...

In a word... privatization. Government is NEVER the problem. It's just a machine. Who's driving, is the matter at hand. The disdain and distrust of government is because government itself has been hugely privatized. Exhibit A - 2020 Wall Street bailout in days. Exhibit B - 1200$ crumbs for ordinary Americans. Government works very well, the only question is for who? 

Under the current financial system of the entire Western World of Neoliberal Reaganomics, there is more and quicker profit and to tear down industry than to build it... This is why there were no masks for Covid etc... Industrial Capitalism (building stuff) has collapsed to Financial Capitalism (casino markets and shell games - building nothing)...

No body lives forever (are you your body? are you your mind?), tragedy results from all those who try.  From the Chinese Emperor who drank mercury, to Gilgamesh the world's first hero myth, to computer genius Ray Kurzweil consuming over 200 pills a day so afraid to die, as he aims to stuff himself into a computer - all tried for immortality - all failed. The cells of the human body that refuse to die, have a name, cancer...

Fool me once, shame on you... Fool me twice, shame on me... Fool me thrice, bye bye nationhood...

The banks are not your friend... any society or nation or civilization that allows banks to run the show, implode. This is not difficult to understand why... what is a bank's asset, plus, profit, benefit? You in debt to them...
