In this very special episode we are joined by David Barry, the son of legendary artist Sy Barry.

Sy Barry is famous around the world for his prolific career as the artist on The Phantom strips, which under Barry’s tenure as artist, reached an international readership of hundreds of millions around the globe.

In addition to his work on Phantom, Sy also, contributed as inker to the very first Krypto story in Adventure Comics #210.

David is now working on a new project to chronicle his father’s career in a book. This episode is a preview of what to expect form that book.

Writer, artist and lecturer Ben Dickson joins us in this episode to discuss work on books such as, ‘A New Jerusalem’, ‘The Queen’s Favorite Witch’, ‘Santa Claus vs the Nazis’ and ‘Silent Horizon’.

Within the conversation we also discuss how Ben began making comics and the changes he has noted within the comic book and convention scene since he first started attending as both fan and exhibitor.
