We often get calls about local wildlife getting injured and the caller isn’t sure what to do or how to assist these animals. Almost always in these situations we recommend you call an expert, and today on the show, we welcome one of those experts – Melissa Gilbert, founder and director of North Mississippi Mammal Rehab. She’ll share with us how you can assess a situation to know whether a wildlife rehabber is needed, and how you can find one when the time calls for it.

Today we welcome back Katelin Cross, a conservation biologist from the Museum of Natural Science to talk about the role of the bat in our ecosystem, answer any questions you might have about these winged mammals, and share even more details about these not-so-frightful creatures.
