The first project in James Gunn's new DCU - Creature Commandos - has wrapped its airing of season 1 on Max. Those of you who have been following me know that I have been deliriously excited for the DCU - and in particular, James Gunn's upcoming Superman film which I named my most anticipated upcoming film of 2025 - but I'd be lying if Creature Commandos was one of the most anticipated projects of their initial slate for me just because it felt too similar to The Suicide Squad. This show definitely explains why that is but I went into this more curious about it being the start of the DCU than anything. I reviewed the first 2 episodes and LOVED them, so it's time to catch back up with the show 5 weeks or so later. This review will contain SPOILERS.
