In our final preparations for Christmas, we are reminded how important it is to cultivate our own families into holy families. In this regard, we must understand what God intended in creating Male and Female and strive to live such in the world today.

Here is the homily I gave for the 3rd Week of Advent. This is the third in the series, "And Now We Wait." We must always remember there is a standard and ideal established by God and it our duty to strive to achieve that ideal, especially in our families. In this regard, we all need to grow in the Virtues of Prudence and Temperance in order to achieve our goal.

In many ways today it feels that rational talk and dialogue has been replaced with anger and mental torture. If we are to make progress today, we need to return to rational and reasonable dialogue.

Of all the challenges we have today, learning to be patient and how to delay gratification are foremost. These qualities are best cultivated in the family. If we are to have a revival of our Faith, we will need a revival of our families.

In today's episode, I ask the question, "How late would you have to be to Mass before you would not come up for Holy Communion?" There really are no sources out there to answer this question, particularly when attending a weekday Mass. But we do know that we are to participate in a "complete Mass" every time we attend. As a moral theologian, I offer an answer to this question.
