Here is the homily I gave for the 4th Sunday of Lent. This is the fourth in the series, "Jesus Really is the One." Today there are many things that blind us to the Truth. Many of the worldly cares and ideologies prevent us from understanding Who Jesus really is. The beauty of Catholicism is that it is based on a relationship first and foremost, not on doctrine and rules. As our Lenten journey continues, we must keep working to improve our relationship with Jesus Christ.

Here is the homily I gave for the 3rd Sunday of Lent. This is the third in the series, "Jesus Really is the One." When reading the Gospel in which Jesus encounters the Samaritan woman at the well, we see a tremendous miracle occur. Quite possibly for the first time the woman experienced Love. And the Love of Christ healed her wounds and restored her dignity in the community. Jesus wants to do the same for each of us.

Here is the homily I gave for the 2nd Sunday of Lent. This is the 2nd in the series, "Jesus Really is the One." So often we have blinders on that prevent us from truly appreciating Who Jesus really is. These blinders can come from a variety of place, most often due to the events in our lives. We must be pliable and open to the Lord, which means we must be healed of our deep seated wounds first.

One of the quick comebacks people use today is, "Don't judge me!" Or, "You don't know what is really in my heart." While there is validity to these statements, it should not render our capacity to judge actions for what they are. If a person commits a grace moral evil, what is so wrong with stating it as such? Ultimately, when judging an action, we are not passing judgment on the soul of the person. Even though, it does not remove our obligation to fraternally correcting the other.

Here is the homily I gave for the 1st Sunday of Lent. This homily is the first in the series, "Jesus Really is the One." For many years we have seen a watering down of the miraculous. In many ways, it has impacted our view of Jesus and the way we journey through Lent. If Jesus Really is Who we say He is, our lives must be different. We can start by retrieving the practices of Lent such as prayer, fasting, and almsgiving.
