It was there, in the heat of the moment, with everyone distracted by the tragedy and chaos surrounding them, that The Flop made it’s move, and what little that was left of Dawson Leery was consumed.

DEALERS CHOOOOOOOOICE.  It happened again, we rolled 130 and got to pick our poison.  Being the gentle, caring soul that he is, Eric decided to pick an episode he knew Josh would love to see, and so, Great Expectations became this week’s chosen ep.  We knew it was good, but we had forgotten just how good it was.  Quick recap.  Drue gave Jen some drugs, and rather than flush them or sell them on the Dark Web, she carries them around in her purse, forever tempted to return to the life she had left behind.   Andie gets unsurprisingly accepted into Harvard but is surprisingly unphased by it, and looking just to feel some feelings.  Dawson is hanging with Gretchen, Pacey and Joey are enjoying being a couple, and Jackers is just happy for his twin sister.  Everything is fine right?  Enter: The Rave.  There’s a rager going down at an abandoned Warehouse, and the Creek Kids all manage to score an invite.  From there it is a downward spiral of Drugs, sick beats, and awful dancing.  If you have a pacifier, put that thing in your mouth and lets do this.

Round 2 of Future Tense, let’s do this!  Quick refresher:  The question is thick in everyone’s minds… college applications.  Andie’s are done, Jack hasn’t started, Dawson is makng a film about it, Pacey is a lost cause, Joey is the 4th smartest girl in Capeside and doesn’t know wtf to do with her future, and Jen is having a birthday party!  Drue decides to B&E a beach house and throw a party in Jen’s honor.  Everyone shows up to blow off some steam, including one Ms. Potter who gets fairly hammered.  Everyone discusses the future and nothing important really happens, but there’s parties and booze and drugs and it’s a good time.  A pleasure to watch for the second time.  We hope you enjoy it as well.

Hear no plot, see no plot, write no plot

Here we are at the final installment of the Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life bonus series and it’s… Autumn.  You may recall that Lorelai announced her completely uncharacteristic march into the wilderness at the end of last episode, and Rory’s decision to air her mother’s dirty laundry has put the two of them at odds.  The beginning of this episode finds Lorelai about to undertake her trek into the unknown, while Rory TRIPS BALLS with the Life and Death Brigade.  This episode is insane.  It is poorly constructed, poorly paced, and ill-conceived, but it does have some genuinely entertaining moments, as well as the only satisfying payoff for a character in the series, as we get to see Emily achieve some measure of contentedness, which is nice.  Meanwhile your hosts have an hour and 45 minutes to go off the rails rambling about whatever inanities pop into our busy little brains.  And believe me, there are inanities aplenty.  Please enjoy our 4th and final Wallow in Stars Hollow.  Thanks for hanging in there with us.

The Season 2 drought is over!  This week we rolled up a very special episode of Dawson’s Creek for your listening pleasure.  Reunited has 2 stories being told at once and both are equally engaging.  First we have Dawson and Joey in a rare moment of normal boyfriend & girlfriend dating when they run into Dawson’s dad at the same restaurant.  To complicate things further, Jen and Gail wind up there as well and then the game is on to get the Leery parents back together.  Meanwhile Andie is having a breakdown and talking to her dead brother  which leads to a stressful moment between her, Pacey, and Jack.  This sleeper episode surprised us with how good it was.  Every single character was delivering exactly what we want when we tune into this show.  Hope you like it as much as we did.

It’s Friday, and we are back with Installment #3 of our Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life bonus series.  This one finds us in the heat of summer where the jokes are problematic, the singing is copious, and the plot is wafer-thin.  Rory is back in Star’s Hollow (but she’s not back).  Lorelai is fine until the last 5 minutes where she gets upset and decides to totally change her life in a fit of angst.  And the rest is dedicated to musical numbers.  This show is bad and it’s creators should feel bad.  But OUR show is, at worst, merely mediocre, so please join us!

New spinoff featuring the unsung heroes of Gilmore Girls: The Huntzberger Boys

Episode 2 of our Gilmore Girls bonus series takes us into Spring.  Fair Warning:  This is not a love fest.  We get pretty harsh on this episode and the series as a whole.  However there are parts we love and we try to be fair despite our growing animosity towards the main characters.  All that aside, it was still a fun show to watch and there were plenty of jokes and commentary to be had.   Plus, some of the best Paris and Kirk material in the revival.  So grab your coffee, and your pop tarts, and your red vines, and your frozen pizza, and your Chinese food, and your diner burger, and your donuts, and whatever else you can scrape out of the bottom of your garbage disposal or chip off the side of your deep freeze (that ice smells vaguely like fish sticks!) and join us for Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life: Spring.

As if 2016 doesn’t suck enough, we rolled Mitch Leery’s funeral episode again.  It’s hard to complain because it really is a brilliant episode, and a fitting send off to one of our favorite characters, but aren’t things hard enough right now?  We’ve lost Bowie and Leonard Cohen, do we have to be stuck in this horrific time loop where we watch our surrogate TV father die again and again?   Are the Creek Gods punishing us for the Gilmore Girls bonus series?  We may never know.  At least we get to see prime John Wesley Shipp material via flashbacks of the cast, and we get to say a proper goodbye to the Father we all wish we had (JK, Dad!).

This week, on a notably more sober Creek of the Week, we revisit the classic Season 1 finale for the final time.  As you may recall, Jen goes through a roller coaster of emotions as her grandfather goes from comatose, to awake, to in the clear, to dead.  Joey has to visit her incarcerated father which inspires a cornucopia (happy Thanksgiving) of emotions.  Pacey is a failure and decides to do what he does best, getting stuff done for Jo-Pot.  And Big D is wracked with emotion as he finds himself falling in love with the girl down the creek, but distressed that she is thinking of going away for the summer.   We make fun, but this is a fantastic finale to a fine season of Dawson’s Creek, please join us as we watch  the gang go through the emotional wringer one more time WITH the original music.  We also read a few emails and announce our upcoming bonus series: COTW:ADCPP:WISH:AGG:AYITLBPE  Don’t miss it!
