Kyle Clarkson :: Creekside Church :: Sunday, January 4, 2015

Sometimes we get so inundated with rules that we might just want to know what the most important ones are, like the teacher of the law in Mark 12:28-34. Kyle Clarkson teaches on Jesus' summary of the main thing, to love God and our neighbor, something we may be too familiar with. This message offers a fresh look at not only the content of these very old principals, but also the motivation behind them. Like the man who was "not far from the kingdom of God", we are lost without Jesus, the only perfect example of loving God and people in His going to the cross. Kyle's message follows a couple brief announcements, including the introduction of Creekside's new administrative assistant.

Nick Reed :: Creekside Church :: Sunday, December 28, 2014

"Jesus said to them, 'Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.'" (Mark 12:17) Nick Reed teaches a message with application far beyond tax season. Our money, possessions, relationships (and everything else) belongs to God, and an eternal perspective should change the way we use everything on earth.

Joy is a word we hear a lot at Christmas-time, and we often see it emblazoned on the season's fashions. Following a showcase of the best ugly Christmas sweaters at Creekside, Nick Reed preaches a message of joy centered on Luke 1:34-55. What is joy? Where does it come from? What is it not? For some joy comes easy; for others it's very hard to come by. Nick's message points to the secret of joy in every situation revealed in the pursuit of Jesus Christ, the reason for the season (in any season).
