  • Mark, Week 33: King on the Cross
    Alan Crim :: Creekside Church :: Sunday, March 22, 2015
    Bob Short bids farewell to Josh and Laura Crim as they move to Minnesota, and afterward presents what unity in church is and why we should care about it. Alan Crim follows with a message from Mark 15:16-32 about the mockery, suffering and nakedness of Jesus for us on the cross, so that we could one day be clothed in righteousness like our King.

  • Mark, Week 32: Pilate On Trial
    Mark Kline :: Creekside Church :: Sunday, March 15, 2015
    “What then do you want me to do with Him whom you call the King of the Jews?” What do WE do with Jesus? Mark Kline preaches from Mark 15:1-15 where, following a series of illegal trials, Jesus of Nazareth stands falsely accused before Pontious Pilate, Jewish leaders, and a crowd demanding His crucifixion. But it was Pilate, and by extension every one of us, who is on trial and guilty before a holy God. Sentenced to die, Jesus left Pilate for a cross to pay our debt, offering freedom for those who would call Him King. Is He yours?

  • Mark, Week 31: Are You In Denial
    Tim O'Byrne :: Creekside Church :: Sunday, March 8, 2015
    With the Lord Jesus by his side in the Garden of Gethsemane, the apostle Peter was fearless, sword in hand, and ready to die for His Master. When Peter was away from the Lord in the courtyard, he denied Him. Whether or not we are living and walking with Christ can be the difference in standing for Him, or denying Him by letting opportunities to stand for Him pass us by. When the rooster crowed, Peter broke down and soon repented, and forgiveness was waiting for him. When we fail Him, God's forgiveness is waiting for us too. Tim O'Byrne's message on Mark 14:66-72 follows a brief announcement from Nick Reed about our Easter Egg Hunt.

  • Mark, Week 30: Jesus On Trial
    Kyle Clarkson :: Creekside Church :: Sunday, March 1, 2015
    The gospel accounts of Jesus' life and death, and life again, show that the people who knew Him didn't react neutrally. Kyle Clarkson preaches from Mark 14:53-65, Mark's account of a series of illegal trials by Jewish leaders of Jesus, a man who claimed to be the Son of Man, a Judge who willingly came to be judged, and a Savior who suffered for us and with us.

  • Mark, Week 29: Be Still
    Nick Reed :: Creekside Church :: Sunday, February 22, 2015
    "Be still, and know that I am God." Psalm 46:10 reminds us our place before the Lord in trust and humility. This sets the stage for Nick Reed's message covering Mark 14:26-42, following Jesus and His disciples from the conclusion of the last supper, Peter's overconfidence in himself to stay true to Jesus, and Jesus' prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane. A common theme emerges in the importance of our stillness before God and awareness of His presence and promises. Pride and downfall come when we rely on our own strength to get us through rather than releasing everything to Jesus at the foot of the cross.
