For Episode 26, Kevin takes us to the wilds of 1911 Wyoming to talk about... sports? More specifically, the Wyoming State Penitentiary All Stars baseball team. When a money hungry warden gambles on his own team of convicts, the stakes get raised - WIN OR DIE! 

Does the team have what it takes to survive the season? Literally.  Let's plaaaaaay ball!

Then Miss takes us on a journey through the Xochimilco Canals, just south of Mexico City, to the (probably) scariest place on earth, La Isla de las Muñecas - The Island of the Dolls. For over 50 years Don Julian Santana Barrera collected broken and abandoned dolls and littered his one acre island with them. But why?

What a special treat today!  We have a Creepy InQueeries first!  Not only do we have Edie back on the pod, but this time, Edie gives us a spoopy story!

First, Miss takes us to Independence, Missouri for the story of Sharon Kinne aka La Pistolera aka Jeanette Pugliese.  She's a murderer and prison escapee who was convicted in Mexico for one murder and suspected of two others in the United States, one for which she was already acquitted at trial....after 4 trials. But then she GTFO and has never been seen since.  As of 2022, Kinne has one of the longest outstanding felony warrants in U.S. history.

Then, Edie tells us all about literal genius, rocket scientist, and full-blown Thelema occultist Jack Parsons and his connections with Aleister Crowley, Magick, and L. Ron Hubbard. Need I say more to convince you this story is bonkers?

Episode 22! That’s bonkers to Miss and Kevin.

For this week’s episode, Kevin’s True Crime tale is about the cult formed at Sarah Lawrence College by Larry Ray, an ex-prisoner who moves into his daughter’s dorm. What follows is years of extortion, sex trafficking, coercion, and torture of the college sophomores whose lives he manipulated.

Then for Miss’s Spoopy Story, she takes listeners to Key West, FL in 1933 to tell us about how a man who claimed he was a Count and a Doctor bribed his way to be an x-ray technician. He falls deeply in obsession with a dying tuberculosis patient. He then steals her body and lives with the decaying corpse for seven years.

What fresh hell???

We’re at Episode 21! That’s bonkers to Miss and Kevin.  Thank you so very much for listening!

For this week’s episode, Miss’s True Crime tale is about the Chowchilla Kidnappings, one of the country’s largest ransomed mass-kidnappings.  In 1976, 3 assailants abducted a central California school bus full of children ages 5 to 14 and the bus driver, Ed Ray.  They were driven around for 11 straight hours, then buried alive in a makeshift bunker.  The ending is as pleasant as an ending could go all things considered.

Then for Kevin’s Spoopy Story, he takes listeners to Riverside, CA in 1994 with the mysterious case of Gloria Ramirez, the Toxic Lady!  In a few short minutes, her frantic ER visit leaves 23 hospital staff stricken, passed out, hospitalized, or worse. No one hypothesis explaining the events has all of the answers.  We may never really know what happened that night.

We're back with a packed episode!  

Also, our bff EDIE is back on the pod today, woohoo!

We start out in New York City 1996 with Kevin's True Crime Story.  He tells us all about the tragic killing of Angel Melendez, one of the iconic Club Kids of the New York party scene.  Before this gruesome death, The Club Kids were a brash, in-your-face, fabulous, party machine full of misfits, weirdos, and queers, including RuPaul, James St. James, Angel Melendez, Amanda Lepore and Lady Bunny. Anyone else who didn't fit in during the daytime was invited to the party.  Unfortunately, drugs, an excess of debauchery, and Rudy Giuliani led to the downfall of queer nightlife.  

But the gruesome killing of Angel by Club Kid impresario Michael Alig and his friend Freeze Riggs shocked everyone.  It's not for the faint of heart. 

Then, for the Spoopy Story, Miss takes us to 1848 Hydesville, NY to tell us about the Fox Sisters and their spiritualist abilities.  Well, they weren't so much 'abilities' as scams, but for a long while, they made their money.

Hey Everyone, welcome back! 

This week Miss's True Crime story takes us to Cleveland for the almost century old unsolved crimes of the Mad Butcher of Kingsbury Run aka The Cleveland Torso Murderer. Will we ever know the true identity of the Butcher?! 

Then Kev's Spoopy Story takes us back to the Old Wild West in Tombstone, Arizona, to the home of “the wildest, wickedest night spot, between Basin Street and the Barbary Coast,” the haunted Bird Cage Theater. Are you sure you just tripped? Or were you pushed by the spirit of a rowdy cowboy spirit or a naked lady ghost??!

Then for Miss's #Spoopy story, join us up north to 1849 Baltimore, MD as we discuss the to-this-day-mysterious death of the Grand-daddy o' Spook, Edgar Allan Poe. Did you know Baltimore claims him? Like, regardless of him growing up, living, and working in other cities throughout his life. But, like, Baltimore really has made him theirs. And we love it.

Hey Queerdos! Strap in for a helluva ride in this week's true crime story. Miss takes us to Granby, Colorado to meet Marvin Heemeyer, the man behind the infamous KILLDOZER. Was Marv wronged by the city? Did he have no other choice but to exact his revenge? I think we all know the answer to that question....

Next Kev takes us up north to the Pacific Northwest Coast & Alaska to meet the Tlingit peoples and their curious cryptid, Kushtaka. Is it an otter? Is it a man? Either way, keep your kids away from the shoreline. Unless you want their souls to be sucked out of their bodies.
