Pastor Heather continues our sermon series “Light in the Dark” with a message from Luke 1:26-38: “Favor, Power, Shadows, and Peace.” On this 2nd Sunday of Advent, when we celebrate the Light of Peace, an angel visits Mary, a woman on the margins of society, to set in motion extraordinary events. What does Mary’s response show us about God?

In serving one another we return to the first message in our series, Love One Another. Through loving and serving we live out the church’s identity that brings glory to God.

This morning, Pastor Heather continues our One Another sermon series on Being the Church by looking at Romans 5:7-13: “Accept One Another.” It’s not difficult to accept those who like what we like and live like we live. But what does accepting one another “just as Christ accepted us” actually require followers of Jesus to do? May the Holy Spirit encourage our hearts as we open God’s word together.

Pastor Heather continues our One Another sermon series on Being the Church by looking at Ephesians 4:25-32: “Forgive One Another.” As a forgiven people, forgiving one another is a fundamental Christian discipline. Yet, to forgive those who’ve hurt us can be incredibly difficult. God has encouragement for us today as we strive to be the church through forgiving one another.

This morning, Pastor Heather continues the five-week sermon series on Being the Church by looking at Ephesians 4:1-6 “Bear With One Another”. Paul commissions the church in Ephesus to be a unified people who reflect Christ in the way they live. When people of the Church bear with one another in love, we image Christ together.

This morning, Pastor Heather kicks off a five-week sermon series on Being the Church by looking at John 13:34-35: "Love One Another." As followers of Jesus, how can the church do this well, when the church is made up of . . . people? We also have the privilege of hearing Creston community members, Bradon and Marie, share how they have experienced God's abundant love while living in a House of Hospitality in France.
