Another Children's talk and the continuation of the series on 'Big Events'. This time our focus is on the significance of the Tower of Babel.

Believers, we learn, were again turning their attention to the Law of Moses and the priesthood of Aaron. A priesthood that the writer of Hebrews contends was inferior to that of the Lord Jesus Christ. People's focus was returning to the Mosaic Law with it's duties and ceremonies. The writer introduces us to Melchisedec, who was he, what was his significance- So we also learn that God looks beyond the initial recipients of the Epistle, to future generations of believers, to us in fact, and those who may come after us.

Griefs- sadness- hopes- anxieties- burdens, do we bring all these things to God in prayer- Is He not a God who answers prayer- Does He not intervene when circumstances such as described by the hymnwriter Phillip Doddridge come upon us - -In scenes exalted or depressed, Thou art our joy, and Thou our rest- Thy goodness all our hopes shall raise...- Have you a burden, have you a care, are you anxious, then take these things to God. Pray with faith and expectation that God will hear your urgent prayer, and that He may grant you or your church, a future and a hope.

Another in the Series of Children's Talks on Big Events in the Bible. This time we consider Noah and the Flood that covered the Earth.

Lockdown and the church's response - There is something special about our freedom to meet together as God's people. By surrendering our rights to meet and lack of involvement in many aspects of Christian work, have we been too respectful of the government's instructions during this time of National Emergency-

From warnings of dangers, reminders of the assurance of hope, emphasis of God's faithfulness in the promises he has made, we are encouraged to be diligent, and to lay hold upon that anchor of the soul which is both sure and steadfast.
