When 14 year old Natasha Ryan vanished in 1998, the police thought that she'd probably run away and she'd likely be back in a couple of days. But as the days became weeks and the weeks became months, everyone started to get the feeling that something much more sinister had happened to Natasha.

And when more women started going missing, the investigation shifted up a gear as the police feared they had a serial killer on their hands but no one could've imagined the turn this investigation would take...

In the week before Christmas 1995, a married father of two was discovered murdered on Pensarn Beach in North Wales. He had been brutally stabbed to death.

This triggered a series of events that wouldn't be out of place in a thriller film. But this was very much real life and one twisted individual, Peter Moore, was very happy to be playing the lead role...

In October 1992, 11 year old Shauna Howe went to school like any normal day but as it was nearly Halloween, she was also looking forward to her Girl Scout Halloween party later that night.

The party finished around 8pm and when Shauna didn't come home that night her family reported her missing. Meanwhile, a member of the public had already phoned the police saying he had witnessed a man pick up a little girl on the street and run off with her. The only other thing he saw was a car speeding away.

A search for Shauna was launched and what they found would lead the Oil City council to impose a ban on Halloween that would remain in place for 16 years.

With the ever-growing popularity of social media, a new wave of crime is emerging. In this week's episode we talk about just two recent cases where social media has played an integral part.

First, we cover the rise of Trash Streamers, in particular Stas Reeflay (full name Stanislav Reshetnikov) who abused his girlfriend, Valentina Grigoryeva, live on YouTube whilst people paid him to torment her. In the Trash Streaming culture, this behaviour is not only accepted but actively encouraged and when things turn darker than ever before, some people turn their computers off but others pay good money to continue watching...

In our second story, we talk about the case that a group of teenagers blew wide open in the midst of the Covid pandemic in the summer of 2020, when they happened across a suitcase whilst using the app, Randonautica.

When police found human remains inside the suitcase it sparked an investigation, which, so far, has left us with more questions than answers. The case of the Tik Tok Suitcase Murders appears at first glance to have been pretty much solved but additional evidence suggests there may be a fair amount more to the story.

In this weeks episode we discuss the case of thrill seeking killer couple Benjamin and Erika Sifrit. The specifics of this case are enough to keep you up at night, but our main takeaway is NEVER go home with randoms, even if the drugs are good and they have a hot tub... Details on this case are all thanks to author and investigative journalist M. William Phelps in his book titled Cruel Death.

On 12th January 1977, the family living at Pottery Cottage woke to find a winter wonderland scene outside after heavy snow had fallen overnight. Richard Moran went to work as normal, Gill Moran took their 10-year-old daughter, Sarah, to school and then went to work herself whilst Gill's parents, Amy and Arthur Minton, stayed home at Pottery Cottage with Arthur chopping wood for a fire and Amy making soup for lunch later that day.

None of them could have possibly known that escaped prisoner, Billy Hughes, was making his way towards their home looking for a place to hide. When he stumbled upon Pottery Cottage, it would be the start of a living nightmare for the family...
