Velma was a wife, mother and grandmother as well as an avid Christian.
Unfortunately that wasn't enough to stop her from killing. Dubbed as the Death Row Granny, Velma confessed to six murders and was the first woman in the United Stated to be executed after the 1976 resumption of capital punishment and the first since 1962.
