On Sunday, June 19 at around 10:51 p.m., police say they received a report of an attempted kidnapping in the 1200 block of South Sprigg Street in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. According to Cape Girardeau police, the suspect was described as being around 50-60 years old, between 5-feet, 6-inches and 5-feet, 10-inches tall with an average build and large stomach. He was clean shaven and had gray hair that partially covered his ears. They said the suspect was driving a newer model, dark blue, single cab truck that may have had yellow lights on top of the cab. The victim, a 19-year-old female, was helping a hurt animal in the road when the suspect reportedly approached her, hit her in the face and then tried to pull her into his vehicle. Police say the victim was able to fight off the suspect and shout for help, which made the suspect flee the scene.

He decides to head home, leaving young Amber to ride by herself. Minutes later, a man in a pick up truck pulls into the empty parking lot and grabs Amber kicking and screaming into the truck. The only witness, an elderly man whose back yard was connected to the parking lot, immediately called police. A massive search begins, but sadly, four days later Amber's body is found in a local creek. The suspect, a white or Hispanic male has never been located. The national Amber Alert system was instituted after this horrific murder. Will advances in DNA testing technology finally give a face to this unknown murder suspect? Support the showOn July 15, 1976 the unthinkable happens. In the small town of Cowchilla California, a school bus loaded with 26 students and one bus driver simply disappears. With little clues and the parents of the community in a panic, members of local and the federal government quickly launch the largest search in California state history. Authorities are shocked when the next day the students and bus driver suddenly reappear with a wild story of being buried alive by three kidnappers. The questions mount fast. Who are these kidnappers? Where are they now? And why would three men kidnap a bus full of kids in the first place? The answers to these questions come more quickly than anyone could imagine, and tell a tale of greed, desperation, and sheer determination. All three kidnappers are sentenced to life in prison for their part in this crime. As of 2022 though, two of the men have been paroled early, and now the last man has finally been granted a release from prison. Did the parole board make the right decision? Is it justice that these men are now and will be soon free and walking among us once again? Join us today as we discuss this very controversial decision.

Support the showOn November 16th, 2015, Peggy McGuire simply vanishes off the face of the earth. From the very beginning, this is not a case of many different avenues to follow. This is not a case where there are no suspects. It just happens that there is really only one suspect. One man who makes himself look all the more guilty. One man with a history of domestic violence against Peggy. But here’s the thing, sometimes in this country, who you know really is all that matters. Sometimes, having the right last name can certainly determine your destiny. Sometimes, the one’s that you trust to secure you justice, are the very one’s preventing it from being found. And sometimes… In McIntosh county Oklahoma, being named a McIntosh can help you get away with almost anything…Maybe even murder. This is the story of missing mother Peggy McGuire.
