In 1995, 14-year-old Nacole Smith was walking to school when she realized she forgot an assignment. As she headed home, she cut through a wooded shortcut to make up time. She was never seen alive again. In 2004, 13-year-old Betty Brown was brutally sexually assaulted by the same person that took Nacole’s life. While it took 26 years to finally identify their perpetrator, they will never have justice.
