#crimechatwithnatandkat presents Episode 131: Downfall of an Heir ~ A Crime & Cosmetics Segment! Popularizing the term "make-up," Max Factor created an epic cosmetics company from the ground up! Nearly 100 years later, his great-grandson, Andrew Luster, was arrested for drugging and raping a 21-year-old college student. Further investigation revealed that Luster drugged multiple women with Liquid X, the date-rape drug GHB, sexually assaulted them, and recorded the assaults on video while his victims were passed out. In the middle of his December 2002 trial, Luster was given $1 million bail then failed to appear in court, fleeing his conviction where he was sentenced in absentia to 124 years in prison. Luster's legal case earned major attention due to his family's wealth, and in January 2003, the FBI issued a warrant for Unlawful Flight to Avoid Prosecution. Luster was found in June of 2003 by Dog the Bounty Hunter, Duane Chapman, in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, where he was handed over to American authorities.
