On the evening of March 18th 2010, the parents of a teenage girl called the police to report that their daughter hadn’t returned home after babysitting. Not long after charred remains were found under a bridge along a popular walking route. The investigation uncovered one of the most horrific crimes in British Columbia.

At around 3am on September 23rd 2015, residents of Westbury Park, Bristol, were awoken by the sound of agonizing pleas for help coming from the street. A man, dressed in just his boxer shorts was running blindly down the road, screaming in pain. As members of the public tried to assist him, they thought that he had mud on his face, but when they asked him what happened he told them that someone had thrown acid onto him. When he was asked who did it, he was audibly terrified and answered “my ex”.

On Christmas Eve 2013, a fourteen year old girl called 911 and pleaded with them to send someone to an apartment in Lake Luzerne, New York. She told the dispatcher that her mother had been stabbed and was dying. When the attacker fled the scene the girl was able to give the dispatcher a detailed description of the man, because she knew him, it was her father.

On June 4th 2011, the Gardai responded to reports of a young man found seriously injured on the side of the road near Carrickmacross. 22 year old Gavin O'Connor was unrecognisable due to his injuries, but he was found by people who recognised his outfit from being out with him the night before. Broadway is a small village in County Wexford, located in the south east of Ireland. The hilltop area is just over 10 miles from Wexford Town. Located on the rural fringe of Lady’s Island Lake, the village contains just one primary school and a pub, Butlers.
