Criminal Justice Evolution

Hello and welcome back. Most officers will encounter a use of force issue in their career. The Police Executive Research Forum (PERF), provides officers and departments great information on not only how to nagivate through a use of force incident, but often how to avoid a use of force issue / incident altogether. A great source of information. The link is below:

There are a myriad of ways officers can get into disciplinary problems or lose their careers, but most of the time it comes down to basic principals that everyone should abide by.

Welcome back and Happy Thanksgiving. As we gather with friends and family this holiday season lets not forget the brave men and women who protect our communities ever day of every year. Many first responders are separated from their families to protect all of us. Please remember the brave officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty and their families.

Hello everyone and welcome back. A lot of listeners to the podcast are not affiliated with the criminal justice field and I appreciate those listeners downloading the podcast. It's good to shed light on some misconceptions in police work and give our non criminal justice audience a glimpse into some of the decisions and calls law enforcement officers go to make on a daily basis. Remember that not everything you watch on television or the movies in regards to criminal justice is what actually happens in real life.

Be safe - Thank you for the support.

Everyone who aspires to become a police officer must successfully navigate the various steps needed to wear the badge. In this episode Patrick offers tips and suggestions to have a successful oral board experience.

Happy Monday.

Hello everyone and welcome back. The last couple of days have been a whirlwind with the election of Donald Trump. A lot of people thought Mr. Trump didn't have a chance to win, but he pulled it off. Mainly due to his perseverance and his goals of becoming Commander in Chief. Never give up on your goals.

Happy Veterans Day to all of the brave men and women who serve and have sacraficed to give us the freedoms we hold so dear.

Have a great Friday.
