Today we discuss our love-hate relationship with I Care A Lot, the hit dark comedy starring Rosamund Pike as a deplorable court appointed guardian who seizes the assets of elderly people for her own, only to one day target someone with the means to fight back. Indeed the film's first half is a perfect illustration of the disparate power dynamics between wheelies and their attendant programs, where "care" is too often a euphemism for "control". Throughout the episode we cover Tony's fight to wear pressure socks, the cruel conflation of diapers and resource management, our appreciation of Peter Dinklage, and dildo thievery.

Its a genuinely joyous portrait of a "disabled woodstock" summer camp where a bunch of cripples find community and confidence in their formative years - experiences they use to inform their advocacy and autonomy in adulthood. We also reflect on overcoming internalized ableism, surviving secondary school spec ed lunchrooms, and a hilarious body swap wheel-breakers scenario that testifies to our our compassion for our able-bodied friends.
