Critical Strike: A League of Legends Esports Podcast

Time is flying by. It feels like Edward Gaming just lifted the Summoner's Cup in Europe, but we're already preparing for the next LEC and LCS year.

In today's episode, Tyler, Henrique, and Mike jump into a ton of discussions around the scene, including the LCS Lock In, the LEC's opening Spring Split weekend, and too-early predictions for Worlds.

It's been a busy offseason for LCS teams. After a significant hiatus, Critical Strike is back to preview everything that has happened in North America through the past two months.

From Team Liquid's superteam forming, question marks across the board for Cloud9 and TSM, or Evil Geniuses' skyhigh ceiling, Tyler, Henrique, and Mike have brought a special extended episode to break down all the rosters we've seen as we head towards the new year.

It's been one hell of a week for LoL Esports fans. Whether it's Bjergsen and SwordArt leaving TSM, Perkz reportedly leaving NA, or Bwipo leaving Fnatic, the Tyler, Mike, and Hank are here to break down the possibilities for you today. Also, a pretty bold prediction is made for where Rekkles might end up in 2022.

With the group stage at Worlds 2021 finally over, we now know the teams battling it out in the knockout stage of the tournament. LPL caster and 2020 LoL Esports Prediction Champion Joe "Munchables" Fenny has joined Tyler, Hank, and Mike to discuss a plethora of things, including whether or not FPX is the biggest disappointment in Worlds history, the rise of the LCK, and the appropriate amount of copium that Western fans should take before the quarterfinals begins.

On this week's episode, the gang is joined by a foremost expert on all things DFM and LJL, Alex "MaskedSwan" Swan of LJL Officially Unofficial for a fascinating deep dive on the history and context surrounding the history that the team's players and the org itself made in becoming the first Japanese team ever to make the Worlds group stage. And because he felt left out as another minor region homer, Hank gives a eulogy for RED Canids.

Oh, and Meg's Game back :)

Less than a week remains before the start of Worlds 2021, and Riot Games has injected even more hype into the fanbase by releasing the tournament's anthem, Burn It All Down featuring PVRIS. In celebration of the newest musical release, Critical Strike has ranked all 8 themes for you to enjoy.

Well, boys and girls, get ready. Worlds 2021 is finally here and the Critical Strike crew has come together to give you the rundown of the group draw for both the Play-ins and Main Event. Our trio discusses multiple topics, including Hank's CBLOL Corner for RED Canids, Meg's EU copium for Fnatic, and Tyler's trust issues with Team Liquid and Cloud9.

Worlds is a few weeks away, but Tyler, Hank, and Mike are here to break down three of the most pressing questions before the tournament, including who will win MVP, which team will be the biggest underperformer, and who will win it all.

As we approach Worlds 2021, Meg, Tyler, Hank and Mike all revisit their coldest takes of the year so far, including their never-ending faith in G2 and CLG. Afterward, they fire up the flames to give out their hottest takes for this upcoming Worlds event, including reasons why they believe Rogue, MAD Lions, and PSG Talon will all win the entire show this year.

In a week where G2 Esports and TSM both had their seasons ended after making huge moves in the off-season, where MAD Lions recaptured glory, and where Faker clinched a return to Worlds, the gang tries their best to fit it all into one episode.

Michael Kelly joins the show, as do Meg and Ethan Garcia via audio snippets of their #spicy #esports #takes.
